Due To Popular Demand, ONCE Extends At Arden Theatre Company

Philadelphia audiences will have additional opportunities to enjoy the Irish-kissed musical sensation ONCE, playing at the Arden Theatre. The company announced today that performances of the Tony Award-winning show will be extended until October 28.

The Arden engagement, which has been featured on FOX29, CBS3, NBC10, and 6ABC, tells the tale of a Dublin street musician who's about to give up on his dream when a beautiful young woman takes a sudden interest in his love songs. As the chemistry between them grows, his music soars to powerful new heights. However, their unlikely connection turns out to be deeper and more complex than your everyday romance. Emotionally captivating and theatrically breathtaking, ONCE is an unforgettable story about going for your dreams, not living in fear, and the power of music to connect all of us.

The cast for ONCE includes Ken Allen Neely as Guy, Katherine Fried as Girl, Scott Greer as Billy, Greg Wood as Da, Emily Mikesell as Baruska, Kendal Hartse as Reza, Mary Fishburne as Ex-Girlfriend, Alex Bechtel as Andrej, Skip Robinson as Svec, Justin Yoder as Eamon, Charlie DelMarcelle as Bank Manager, and Josh Totora as Emcee.

ONCE began previews on Thursday, September 20, 2018, and officially opened on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 7pm. ONCE now runs through October 28, 2018.

Post-show discussions will be held following performances on Thursday, October 4, at 7pm, Sunday, October 7, at 2pm, Wednesday, October 10, at 6:30pm, Sunday, October 14, at 2pm, and Wednesday, October 17, at 6:30 pm.

The Arden is wheelchair accessible and provides assisted listening devices and large-print programs at every performance. Open Captioned and Audio Described performances will take place on Friday, October 5 at 8pm and Saturday, October 6 at 2pm. Reservations are required for accessible seating and may be made by calling the Arden's Box Office at 215.922.1122.

ABOUT Arden Theatre Company: Founded in 1988, Arden Theatre Company is dedicated to bringing to life great stories by great storytellers-on the stage, in the classroom, and in the community. Five productions are staged each season as part of the Mainstage series and two productions through Arden Children's Theatre, the city's first resident professional children's theatre program. For accessibility efforts, the Arden was named a "Keystone of Accessibility" by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
