Kiss Me, Kate

On Monday, April 1, The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture will launch its new series, Backstage Broadway with a special event featuring company members from the Roundabout Theatre Company's hit revival of Kiss Me Kate.

Hosted by Tony-nominated actor, music director, and composer/lyricist Alexander Gemignani, the new Backstage Broadway series offers audiences an inside look into some of Broadway's biggest hits. With some of Broadway's most respected artists, Gemignani explores the collaborative process and sources of inspiration that ultimately deliver a show to its opening night on the Great White Way. On April 1, Gemignani will sit down with Kiss Me Kate's Tony Award-winning choreographer Warren Carlyle, Tony Award-winning musical director Paul Gemignani, and dance arranger David Chase for a discussion offering a behind-the-scenes look at the process of bringing this Broadway masterpiece to new life. Company members Preston Truman Boyd, Marissa McGowan, and Christine Cornish Smith will treat The Sheen Center audience to a presentation of musical numbers from the acclaimed new revival.

Visit www.SheenCenter.org for more information about the above event as well as other theater, film, music, poetry, art, and talk events.
