Buck Creek Players Brings Award-Winning New Musical To The Stage With DOGFIGHT

Buck Creek Players is proud to present the critically-acclaimed new musical, DOGFIGHT, based on the 1991 film of the same name starring River Phoenix and Lilli Taylor. Called "poignant, funny and totally endearing" by AM New York, and nominated for nearly a dozen prominent New York Awards, DOGFIGHT will open on Friday, June 1st, and continue for a limited three weekend run through Sunday, June 17th. Curtain times are at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with 2:30 p.m. matinees on Sundays.

It's November 21, 1963. Three young marines set out for one final night of debauchery in San Francisco on the eve of their deployment overseas. But when Corporal Eddie Birdlace (Nathan Wilusz) meets Rose (Addison Koehler), an awkward and idealistic waitress he enlists to win a cruel bet with his friends, she rewrites the rules of the game and the two share a night they'll never forget. Studded with impressive songs from Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (the songwriting team behind DEAR EVAN HANSEN, A CHRISTMAS STORY: THE MUSICAL, LA LA LAND, and THE GREATEST SHOWMAN), DOGFIGHT has a genuine and charming soul that is sure to challenge and inspire its audiences.
