Barry Pearl Stars in INSPECTING CAROL at Hillcrest Center For The Arts Barry Pearl, hot off the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the acclaimed musical film GREASE, has signed on to star in the PANIC! PRODUCTIONS holiday hit, "INSPECTING CAROL"-

This will also be the first time he will share the stage with his talented wife, Cindy Pearl. The show opens September 7, 2018, at Hillcrest Center For The Arts. Tickets and details are on sale now at: www.panicproductions.org

Inspecting Carol is a comedy, originally written by playwright Daniel Sullivan in 1991, it is a variation of the play, TheInspector Generalby Nikolai Gogol.

The show takes place in a midsized town, like Thousand Oaks. Barry Pearl plays the role of Kevin Emery, the Financial Director of a small professional theatre company, a nervous eater who tries to suck up to the Inspector General because their theatre company is struggling to survive amidst all the financial cuts, and they learn they are being inspected in order to receive a grant. While doing their annual production of A Christmas Carol, everything starts to go wrong as they struggle to just get through the performance.

Barry Pearl, hailing from Lancaster, PA, and best known for his portrayal of "Doody" in Paramount's iconic hit film, GREASE, began his professional acting career at the tender age of 11 years old co-starring as Randolph McAfee in the original Broadway production of BYE BYE BIRDIE. Since then he's not looked back. Hardly stopping to take a deep breath, his varied career has taken him these last 56+ years from stage to TV to film, as an actor, producer, director and, since 2014, to working with Joey Travolta (one of John's older brothers) teaching film arts to special needs folks all across the country via Joey's Inclusion Film Company. Working with Panic Productions has been a highlight made even more sumptuous by virtue of the fact that, for the first time, he gets to share the stage with his incredible wife, Cindy. Now the task is figuring out a way to get their kitty-daughter, Gracie Jane Marie, on stage with them to make it a family affair.
