BWW Preview: RENT 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR to Play at Fox Cities P.A.C.

RENT 20TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR will play at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton from May 11-13. There's no day but today to learn some quick facts about the show.

1. RENT is an innovative show. In its heyday, RENT did a lot of controversial things, like featuring LGBTQ characters and covering topics like AIDS. Plus, RENT is a rock musical that changed the face of Broadway. Lin-Manuel Miranda has even cited it as a source of inspiration for HAMILTON.

2. RENT has won a bevy of awards, including four Tony Awards, six Drama Desk Awards and a Pulitzer Prize.

3. RENT is also popular internationally. It has been performed in 25 languages in about 50 countries.

4. With an upcoming live production on Fox slated for early 2019, this might be the last chance you'll have to see it in person before it airs on TV.
