THE BOOK OF MORMON To Anchor Anchorage Concert Association 2018/2019 Season The Anchorage Concert Association, the state's largest arts and entertainment presenter, is bringing family favorites, Broadway musicals, innovative rockers, and folk heroes to Alaska for its 2018/2019 season.

In October, Alaskans will have the opportunity to see the winner of nine Tony Awards, THE BOOK OF MORMON, as it plays a limited two-week engagement October 19-28 in the Atwood Concert Hall. The New York Times calls the show "the best musical of this century." The Washington Post says, "It is the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals." And Entertainment Weekly says, "Grade A: the funniest musical of all time." Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show calls it "Genius. Brilliant. Phenomenal." Season subscribers receive priority ticket opportunities to shows so an Anchorage Concert Association subscription is the best way to guarantee seats to THE BOOK OF MORMON.

From the celestial voices of Celtic Woman to the avant-garde Puddles Pity Party, this Anchorage Concert Association season inspires and entertains.

OK Go, the rock band famous for their wildly creative videos, brings their unique magic to Anchorage in 2019. America's Got Talent stars The Texas Tenors will thrill Alaska audiences with their breathtaking voices, humor, and ample cowboy charm. Seven-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Joan Osborne unleashes her sizable gifts as a vocalist and interpreter upon Bob Dylan's celebrated canon in a special concert in February.

All ages will enjoy Imago Theatre's Frogz, a mastery of mime, dance and acrobatics; the Broadway classic The Sound of Music; and the infectious joy of high-energy band Lucky Chops.

Audiences will laugh out loud with comedian Tig Notaro; sketch comedy masters The Second City; and the dancing divas, flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits, and one legless knight of Monty Python's Spamalot.

Join a worldwide block party with Ozomatli and Flor de Toloache in September; experience the power of cello rock with Break of Reality; and feel the sparkling energy when JigJam blends traditional Irish music with bluegrass and Americana in March.

Known simply as "The Voice" in his home country, Vusi Mahlasela is one of South Africa's most celebrated musicians and cultural activists. He sang at Nelson Mandela's presidential inauguration and performs in Anchorage in October.

Make time for joy with holiday delights The Nutcracker featuring Eugene Ballet, Celtic Woman: The Best of Christmas Tour, and The New Standards Holiday Show, a special event featuring Alaska artists alongside national talent.

Subscriptions of three or more shows are available to the public beginning Thursday, May 3. People can subscribe online at www.anchorageconcerts.org, in person at the Anchorage Concert Association office, 430 W 7th Ave Suite 200, and by calling 907-272-1471. Packages start at $80.
