The Back Left Project presents the Australian Premiere of Back Left at the Adelaide Fringe, February 16 - March 3, 2019 at Live From Tandanya in the Tandanya Theatre.

Wake up your senses! Back Left explores life beyond an ordinary day. Using intense physicality and creative storytelling we invite audiences to discover new worlds hidden in daily activities through an immersive physical theatre experience. We attempt this with humor and courage.

Back Left is the culmination of movement research on daily activities. For the exploration we gave ourselves limitations and obstacles for eating breakfast, taking a shower, going for a walk, etc. In the research we were ridiculous. We had many conversations, a lot of skin, endless questions, a few falls, laughs, unexpected textures, flavors, and we took our time. Created by Ezra LeBank and Isabel Aguerrebere. Performed by Ezra LeBank.

Ezra LeBank is the Head of Movement at California State University Long Beach. His work has been presented across North America and Europe including Off-Broadway in New York ("Ingenious" -New York Times), The Edinburgh Fringe (where he was named "The Next Big Thing" by The List Magazine), Calgary Fringe (Best of Fest), and the Winnipeg Fringe (FIVE STARS -Winnipeg Free Press), among others. He teaches acrobatics internationally including: France, Belgium, Australia, Israel, Thailand, Italy, Finland, United Kingdom, Russia, and more.

Isabel Aguerrebere was honored in the 2017 Mexico National Choreography Contest. Her work has been presented at The AWARD Show New York, International Cervantino Festival, National Theater Show, Lucky Timmer (Berlin), Deltebre Dansa (Spain), and Encuentro National Dance.
